Hi,

Following might be easier than looking at the Back Orifice. This will hide the
current program in Win 9x (gone from the task bar and the "Close Program" box):

/*************/
BOOL (WINAPI *RegisterServiceProcess)(DWORD dwProcessId,DWORD dwType);

HINSTANCE hKernel = LoadLibrary( "KERNEL32.DLL" );
if( hKernel )
{
    RegisterServiceProcess = ( int( __stdcall* )( DWORD , DWORD ) )
    GetProcAddress( hKernel, "RegisterServiceProcess" );
    if( RegisterServiceProcess )
    {
        if( !RegisterServiceProcess( NULL, 1 ) )
             fprintf( stderr, "Unable to register service process\n" );
    }
       else
        fprintf( stderr, "Unable to load RegisterServiceProcess\n" );

    FreeLibrary( hKernel );
  }
  else
   fprintf( stderr, "Unable to load KERNEL32.DLL\n" );
/***************/

If you stick it somewhere at the beginning of the program it will hide it (can
also hide other programs). It will not work under NT or its successors.
