It's funny I have had the magic tap gesture start music when I'm ending a call almost since the first day. I've got my iPhone 5s years ago but the threads and conversation of hearing *Now make it sound like it's a new thing but despite this issue I still really like the double tap gesture for answering and ending calls and playing my media. I wouldn't turn it off it's very useful to me. This is a 16 pro running iOS 26. Earphones can still answer by tapping the button too. Certain earphones, I suspect by Apple, and maybe others you can tell Siri to answer.
