I went into settings, accessibility, VoiceOver, Commands, and turned off Magic tap fork media, so now it works to answer the phone without starting music playing. This is a 16 pro running iOS 26. Earphones can still answer by tapping the button too. Certain earphones, I suspect by Apple, and maybe others you can tell Siri to answer. HTH,
