Though I didn't read the linked article, I also doubt the iPhone is going anywhere anytime soon. I remember hearing somewhere that the iPhone is a large portion of Apple's business and their sales, and given that, it doesn't make sense for them to fade out a product which over 2 billion people have. What is more likely is the iPhone of 2029 is probably going to look different or have different ports, or no ports, than the iPhones many of us have today.
