Hi Dan,

is it possible that theres an inaktive Videochatsoftware runnung in the
Background, like Skype, a Messenger with Videosupport or something like
that? If such a software keeps the Cam in use, even if not active, the
cam might be blocked by this...when i use different browsers for testing
only one browser at a time is able to use the cam,but they are able to
use the cams microphone in paralel. Guess thats a question if the
cameras driver as for another camera i use its not possible to use
audio+video seperately and with that old cam (not my commonly used
logitech cam but an older philips cam) i can only use audio+video in one
browser at a time, not video only in one browser but audio in all at
once..and if skype is active in parallel or i used another messneger
with videosupport before and that is not definitely shutdown before
using a browser for OM, then the browser doen´t get acces to either the
viodeopart of the cam or the audio part..

greets from cologne,

 Tom

Hi all.

One of our users ran into this issue. He has an external webcam. When
he selects the webcam for either his camera or mic, or both, he gets a
message "Camera/Microphone is busy and can't be used."He tried using
both Chrome and Edge, including turning off all extensions in both
browsers.

He had been using the camera earlier with another system (Google Meet)
and it worked correctly. I had him completely shut down his computer,
restart, and then plug in the external camera. And it still didn't
work. As far as I can tell all of his permissions are correct within
the browsers, and he tried with two different browsers there must be
something else telling his computer that the camera is in use, even
though it is not.

Any ideas on how we can fix this? Thanks in advance for your help! Dan
