Harvey Muller : Thanks a lot for these informations. Since the workaround I provided in description of the bug report can cause additional problems, I removed it and just mention vesafb. It's a better idea to keep usplash disabled than using the blacklisted vesafb framebuffer driver. However, this information is still good to know.
** Description changed: This bug happens with a nvidia geforce 8xxx card and ubuntu amd64 I have a fresh install of Gutsy Gibbon Beta, on an EM64T architecture.
