It's a shame because I think the show was finally finding its footing (and was starting to attract a better class of panelist than they were able to pull in the early days). I still believe that the 1-hour format hurt the show in the long-run; one of the reasons the original format worked as well as it did was that the half-hour format didn't leave a ton of room for a 'talk show' segment or other weird away-from-the-podium games. (The fact that Chris Hardwick's hosting style could best be described as 'hamster on speed' helped as well.)
