The real weakness of the show was recruiting quality panelists. On the rare occasion they had veteran comedians on the show could reach its potential. I’m all for giving emerging talents a national showcase to show what they’ve got and make a name for themselves, but the usual panelists they got seemed to come from open mics and that’s where their future is. I thought over time they would tinker with the format to make a better show, and they did, and also to develop a roster of talent that would be reliably funny. But that never happened.
