John and Jonathan, Well no matter what I try I get errors like this sudo ethtool -s eth0 duplex full Cannot set new settings: Invalid argument not setting duplex
So the driver will not talk to the card to change settings. I just got off the phone with HP with no help but I may have to reboot he server while I am at the console and when the card message comes up get into the card there and I might be able to change the settings. HP said that the iLO connection will not provide me a way to hard set the card. I had a card we used on my old SCO boxes where I was forced to boot to a DOS disk and run this dos program to get the Bus ID so when SCO asked for it I could put it in. It was a royal pain when rebuilding a server or even replacing the card.
