Yes, I caught the command failure from another email.

That is going to be an issue. :)

Also, doing a re-negotiation on a port where the switch has negotiations turned off will have some problems... :P

BTW, a failed negotiation goes to 100Mb Half-Duplex by default. So, if the switch is set to 100Mb Full-Duplex with autonegotiation turned off and you try to do negotiations, you will end up at the right speed but wrong duplex.
