What I meant was.... Your name (because it' s your quote, right?) #devops because it has to do with infrastructure as code
I was lucky enough to hear about the free Kindle edition giveaway of The Phoenix Project and downloaded it - it's a great read and incorporates all the tenants of Devops (at least the way Gene Kim and the rest of the authors envision it.) You may remember I gave a shout out about it at the last LOPSA-NJ meeting. Didn't you have a relatively DevOps type of job at Google, Tom? You may be the closest thing to a poster boy we have ;) Will -----Original Message----- From: Tom Limoncelli [t...@whatexit.org] Sent: Monday, April 22, 2013 06:28 PM Eastern Standard Time To: Will Dennis Cc: unix_fan; t...@lopsa.org Subject: Re: [lopsa-tech] Version controlling permission sensitive files On Mon, Apr 22, 2013 at 3:22 PM, Will Dennis <wden...@nec-labs.com> wrote: > All we need is “#devops” and Tom’s name at the end… T-shirts should be > issued J I don't know what Will means. I'm not the poster boy for DevOps. I think it's great but I think I'm an innovator in that area. (By the way... some of the actual innovators in DevOps have a new book out that is excellent: http://itrevolution.com/books/phoenix-project-devops-book/ ) Tom -- Skype: YesThatTom -- GTalk and GooglePlus: t...@whatexit.org Blog: http://EverythingSysadmin.com Videos: http://www.TomOnTime.com
