We just received a bunch of 1U servers with cable managment arms (customer ordered the arms) and I though I would appeal to the collective wisdom of LOPSA. It has been years since I have used cable managment arms and even then, they were on much larger systems. These are a bunch of 1U servers that are going to have several cables coming off the back.

The plusses:
Cable management arms provide a nice horizontal support for cabling
The servers can be pulled out without disconnecting a bunch of cabling

The minuses:
Cable management arms are a pain to properly install cabling in
The extra layers of cabling can impede airflow, particularly in a 1U form factor

Personally, I would prefer to not use them as I think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages. Any thoughts pro or con?

It's not what I know that counts.
It's what I can remember in time to use.
