Hi Eleanor and Stephen,

On my E71, the key to the right of the number 6 is the pound key, or
the number key. When I press that key twice, it puts 2 number signs on the
screen, which Talks reads as "number number."

I checked the Talks manual and it says to press fn plus Space, but I
don't know which key is the fn key???

        Don

okay we are both right in our respective ways. my apologies I was thinking of
the numeric phone even though you had said before you have 71. there is a hash
key on the E 71. it is to the right of the number six key. incidentally above
that you have the Starkey and below it you have zero key. no I think you will
have to turn predictive text off in a different manner through the menus but at
the moment it is what we might call here in London the middle of the night and
so I cannot tell you right now as I am dictating on a different phone which is
a non-mentionable on this list. I am getting ready to go to Ireland in about
eight hours time and I will try and get back to you at sometime in the morning.
however Stephen might respond to you before then. I did ask you to write a text
message because I wanted to establish from myself if you are actually on a
predictive text or not but you did not do this. give it a go and let me know
and then hopefully we can progress from here. I do have the E 71 so I will
definitely look it out in the next couple of hours.
