You probably should update to the 5.50 version of Talks for your phone. It is a
free update for you.

You need to turn off predictive text on your phone otherwise you will need to
press space bar after typing a word to select the word before you can arrow
down. This is why the arrow keys work after you initially type a word and
pressing right arrow then you can probably press down arrow.

Have you taken out y our battery and put it back in again? Other thing is if
you go to a text message and start writing it, does all that work fine?
