Tongue in cheek: Now my head hurts!!! I let this stir around in my grey space for a minute and went wait, adding (s) to accept does not make it plurar. This is one of those really screwed up situations that is just a mess. So I had to google. AmE would like us to use just accept in this specific case. BrE would rather see accepts. It has to do with some thing they call present subjunctive.
