I just wrote:
vlc-2.1.0-win32.exe installed and ran fine for me on my Win 7 64-bit system. Didn't realize there was a 64-bit version. Just upgraded last week using their internal "check for updates" feature, no issues there either.
Just downloaded and installed vlc-2.1.1-win64.exe without incident, runs fine. Only surprise was that it didn't prompt to uninstall the previous version or keep/discard preferences. But it kept my preferences, so no objection.
