Right on both counts
I write Fortran and C to do modeling calculations for myself,
but am not good enough to be part of any development team,
so I am "just a user."
"Push my GUI idea" - well, yes. But shouldn't a experienced user
know a mediocre GUI when he sees one,
and maybe know that better than developers?
