Excellent point. Thank you Todd & Kyle.

So now on to the bonus round: On a pipe schedule system, can section
10.2.5.2.3.1 (2019) be applied to allow a sprinkler to be up to 9’ from a
single wall?

In 13, the pipe schedule tables are specified for steel or copper only. 27.5.3.4

Oh knowledgeable ones: Is there anything in NFPA 13 that prohibits the use of
CPVC pipe/fittings in the remodel of an old pipe schedule system? The intent
is to maintain the pipe schedule and not provide calculations. I’m not aware
of anything, but I don’t want this to bite me later.

Thanks,
