Municipal entities such as police and fire have certain rights to access granted them by law. As a private entity you wouldn't be protected by the same law and peeking into a unit might be considered the same as trespassing or illegal entry. If the facility owner's rental agreement allows the owner to access a rented unit without the permission of the renter, and you were granted access by the facility owner under that same premise, you might be OK. You've got some legal issues that need to be clearly defined and verified.

The do not have access to the units that are being rented, but there is a gap above each door for air flow. Would we be stepping outside the realm of NFPA 25 if we utilized a ladder to see into each unit to perform the inspections? ________________________________ NOTICE - This communication may contain confidential and privileged information that is for the sole use of the intended recipient.
