We were running SA2.6 on Rh7.3 here but only after we updated Perl to 5.6.1 (or was it 5.8 - don't remember offhand). We had no major issues once Perl was done (couple script changes here and there and changing local.cf around) - we have since moved to SuSE 9 Pro since RH is dropping 7.3 and 8.0 support/patches Jan 1, 2004 (which is something else you may need to consider).

No warranty to void; I installed Linux. I've not seen anything in the documentation indicating this is a problem. If it is, then I am stuck with SA 2.55 for now. The computer is across the country in a co-lo. I cannot risk remotely upgrading everything. So, SA 2.60 will only run with RH Linux > 7.3? I suspect it really is a problem with the version of Perl I am running. But there is no dependency for a particular version of Perl listed. (I am running v5.6.1 built for i386-linux.)
