It IS a good idea to delete SPAM if your users DEMAND it -- and you circulate a "hold-harmless" just in case an important email is accidentally deleted. Further, it cannot not be done with SA only and extreme care must be taken and some review folders are set up for a final "eyeball" is applied before deletion of those marginal ones. I've been deleting for about 2 months now and only 3 messages had to be recovered and forwarded to the user.... The users are ecstatic -- most are shocked to see that they are not nearly as "popular" as they had thought once they only download real good emails.....
