I'd heard of tar pitting - it's an attractive idea. I just feel that as spammers are putting me to the inconvenience of spamming me, I should put _them_ to some inconvenience. I'm using a pre-configured sendmail that comes with Slackware. I don't feel like installing a different MTA, but I see from teergrube that I can use a wrapper for an existing mta - presumably including sendmail. I'll look at it further - I'm on a 500K broadband with NTL, will that provide enough bandwidth?
