Only to teach them how to use the voting machine.  I think they also
use that as an informal poll since some parents will discuss their
plans while their kids can hear, and kids at that age will usually
pick whatever they heard their parents say.  That logic didn't work in
my family because my parents didn't share their voting plans with us
(so we couldn't indiscretely gossip about it).  I picked one guy and
my brother picked the other, for no (good) reason :-).
