Ahh so it's not just me.

I have a machine that ReiserFS can render unbootable in under 12 hours -
and that's when it's idle.  The machine is running ext3 now (since about
december
last year) and has no problems.

The problem with reiser is it isn't particularly fault tolerant... if you
get a power failure or oops it corrupts itself, which isn't very useful in 
a journaling filesystem.
