Part of the difference between mathematical theory and practice is the
waste [deposits..oxides and plate out]
Theory should give a higher figure.

Marshall, Thank you for the post - it was very helpful. I am trying
to understand how there can be such a large difference between
Faraday's laws and Bob's results.
I am not a chemist, so I am not familiar with the procedures they
use.
In principle, the results should agree within experimental error.
But as an instrumentation specialist, I can see many different ways
the process can give spurious results.
