Are you doing clickonce to get the setup.exe bootstrapper? In other words, is this "publish" from inside Visual Studio? If so, I doubt you can embed the resource into that setup.exe bootstrapper. If you're writing your own bootstrapper then yes, you can do this. Just add the MSI to your project
