Good morning Alan,
I checked WinVNC on my computer.
When I "right" clicked on, I see five following menu:
Properties
Add New Client
Kill all clients
About WinVNC
Close VNC
Screen shots of Properties, Add New Client, and also VNC viewer are
attached.
BTW
This may not be relevant to this particular problem, but I have noticed that
you will see only a black screen when accessing VNC server running on
Windows XP if there is user already logged on, but not active - either
because of user switching or because the screen saver has cut in. In some
cases
ed.
Good luck.

I am trying to connect using a Win2000 Professional Workstation. I can
connect just fine, but all I get is a blank black screen.
I do not have any screen savers running. I usually connect using Terminal
Services and here is the weird part. If I have a Terminal Services Window
open
VNC client and server - Windows NT.
Autorization is OK, but I see only BLACK screen.
Any Help?

No idea what could be wrong, but try VNCThing as your client/viewer. I
have had better luck with that than the VNC Viewer beta for Mac.

I have installed the VNC PPC Mac server on a few of our G4s but when I
connect to them all I get is a black screen. One of the Macs is beside me
and I can see the pointer moving on the server screen but cannot see
anything on my viewer. I did manage to see the desktop briefly this morning
but
he S3 link.
Maybe it will help, and try it in 256 colour mode.

Yes it does. Your Gigabyte GA-7ZMM motherboard uses the same Via KM133
chipset as my ECS K7VMA.
I ask
guess is that the makers of these (relativly cheap) motherboards just
repackage the video drivers from Via with little or no modification, so if
you are absolutely sure your VNC Server machine is set to 800x600x256 and
you are still getting black screen you should try the drivers from the Via

Hey Zoran,
The vid driver is where I experienced this problem, the only other driver
would be the network driver (but I hadn't heard it causing the black screen

I did try looking for a solution for my problem in the documentation and

VNC starts, and there is connection, and everything looks perfectly normal,
but the only thing I see is black screen. I went to win98 machine to see how
things are looking there - if feels
