first, get a set of LINUX install CD's. ;-) assuming both are on the internet, both should have a valid IP address, so they should be able to se each other. the trick might be in finding that address (it might be dynamically assigned, in other words it might change every time you connect).

If you are truly worried about a dos system that can be rebooted and controlled remotely, I would look into a hardware solution. There is a company that makes a isa or pci card that acts as a video controller and translates the dos video to a serial connection. It also has watchdog support.

Hi all, If we're talking about a Windows solution... what about setting up a SSH tunnel between each box. Then share a printer on the connecting PC. If you're sharing ports 139 - the remote box should be able to access that. The main downside to this is share access on each system and getting
