I think its a NT/W2K requirement. What happens is 1. The network drives are mounted when a user logs in. 2. The service starts during bootup at that point there may not be any one logged in. Even is there is a user logged in his network drive may not be mapped to the one which was there during installation.

Is this just a 2000 requirement? I need to load the software on the local desktop. No to number 2. Is your vnc software on the network drive ? A service cannot be on the network drive so you got to put in your local drive. 2. Did you install the vnc and moved the executable or rename the drive ? In which case you have to run(from the directory where winvnc.exe exitst) winvnc -remove winvnc -install again -shashi -----Original Message----- From: Cindy Hughes [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, April 16, 2002 1:00 PM To: '[EMAIL PROTECTED]' Subject: Windows 2000 Machines I have been trying to get VNC to work on my Window 2000 stations.
