If you check out the documentation you should find some registry entries
that prevent users accessing the Properties page or exiting the program.

Heya. Sorry for the late reply. Most firewalls that a

Pressing the escape key again recovers.

While it's true NT only supports one virtual display, you can make it
whatever display number you want. If he's configured it to be display 1,
then 5901 is correct.

Why does the AXEL brochure specify Unix and Linux servers but say nothing
about Windows and others? Their product is the vnc graphics terminal,
right? The server that runs on the Unix/Linux box is ordinary vnc, so it
could just as easily be Windows, no?
Or do you think they've tweaked the server

Corne,
Changing the window manager to olwm gave the same problem. Can confirm that
Xvnc still is running in background and killing it from another telnet
session kills the grey screen as well. The real issue is why 3.3.3r2 should
do this but the old version does not.

Is the entire vncserver process stopped or just the windowmanager (dtwm)? I
see 2 possible problems: If the windowmanager is stopped but Xvnc (the core
of the vncserver) keeps running, then I suspect tooltalk. This is easy to
test if you change to an other windowmanager (olwm should be available o
