I thought that you asked me to place the cursor on the text and then shut

Well, I just found out that Proxy is definitely the problem. I uninstalled
the Proxy client from my machine and I'm now able to connect to the domain
controller with VNC. Now, I just have to figure out how to get Proxy to pass
VNC connections. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks again,

It sounds like you have a firewall around those machines.

I've verified that this is a problem with release R8 and "match all"

I'm preparing a release R9 to fix this!

Make sure in the services control panel for the WinVNC service that you
check "allow service to interact with desktop". That is if you are running
winvnc as service of the nt machines.

Aha. That explains the problem. Closing a listening port doesn't kick apps
out of accept() calls. This means WinVNC will be left listening on a socket
which it can never receive anything from, because it's closed, and will thus
appear to hang.
