Sounds like your Proxy is interferring. Load the Winsock Proxy client
and that should take care of it.

What is likely happening is that if you don't install the Winsock Proxy
client only HTTP and FTP requests from a CERN compliant browser can
leave your network via the Proxy. One thing that is weird is that you
shouldn't be able to connect using telnet.

My other suggestion would be check the Proxy's LAT.

Is the VNC server on the other side of the Proxy?

Subject: Problems with Windows 2000 Advanced Server & VNC

Greetings,

I habe a problem with VNC 3.3.7 and Win2k AS. Everytime I try to connect
to
the server with VNCclient, I can type in my password but then a message
appears "Connection closed".
When I try it with my browser, the applet starts, but then I get only a
white screen.
Has anyone the same problem or could anybody help me?

Some information:
- I can connect with Telnet.
- The server isn't in my network, I connect the server with a router.
- No firewall ist installed.
- Ms Proxy Server 2.0 is installed in my network.

THX, Martin
