Just to say that MS1 of mlview-dxpc has been released. You can find it at http://www.medialogic.it/projects/mlview. ML-View is a project to deploy remote X desktops to thin clients and mobile users. It is different in respect to VNC as it compresses the X protocol instead of translating X in bitmap screen updates. At the moment it has some disadvantages: 1. It only works on platforms where a X server is available. Win32 platform using XFree86 has not been tested (http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/xfree/). 2. Both proxy and Xserver running at client side increase demand for system resources. Nevertheless there is a reason for using it: performances.
