It appears that this release ignores the AuthHosts setting completely.
I have the following registry entries (on Windows 2000 Server):
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ORL\WinVNC3
AuthHosts REG_SZ -
DebugLevel REG_DWORD 0x2
DebugMode REG_DWORD 0x2
Yet, even after restarting the VNC service multiple times, I am
allowed right in. Here is a sample from the WinVNC.log file:
D:\ORL\vss\winvnc\vncServer.cpp : trying port number 5900
Thu Mar 15 19:12:19 2001
D:\ORL\vss\winvnc\vncSockConnect.cpp : started socket connection thread
Thu Mar 15 19:17:45 2001
D:\ORL\vss\winvnc\vncSockConnect.cpp : accepted connection from
192.168.xxx.xxx (specific address removed)
D:\ORL\vss\winvnc\vncClient.cpp : client connected : 192.168.xxx.xxx (1)
Thu Mar 15 19:17:47 2001
