Btw, I came across this:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfsam/?source=typ_t4_highlighted
Not clear if this satisfies OSS requirements of Fedora but it would be at least
a worthwhile alternative to pdftk's functions.
Best wishes,

I solved the problem by booting to runlevel 1
and installing the nVidia driver for the card,
a GeForce 8600GTS.
The nVidia dirvers can be found at:

Hi,
I've experienced similar issues with an old CanonScan.
It worked until Fedora 19, but not in Fedora 20.
I've tried with:
simple-scan
xsane
gimp + sane plugin
command line: scanimage -d plustek ...
The last one returned an I/O error. Just to make sure it's not a
scanner problem, I've asked a co

I don't do fedups; I somehow start fresh each time. This time I have
another unit to install to.
So it went smoothly. Remember, you use the server netinst for
workstations. Just select which workstation you want from the software

Hi Joe Feely,
There is only one single professional app is available for linux for
any kind of scanning work. It's called Vuescan. If you buy that, you
gonna never regret it. I know that is not foss software but it's a
solution for such Lide and other type "unusable" scanners.

Just got a Canon LIDE 120 scanner. Neither Simple scan nor xsane detect it,
though lsusb sees that it's connected.
I bit of Googling makes me wonder if I need to exchange it.
Is there a way to get it to work?
I'm using fc20 + MATE.
Thanks,

I am a bit embarrassed asking this, as it must be something simple I

Fedora, but 21 has me stumped. I am using the Fedora 21 server DVD

I use NFS4 with Kerberos. How do you enable the rpc-gssd service so that

everything works as expected, but I'm suspecting a bug in the nfs-utils
