I had fedora 21 alpha installed for testing on my system at work, and using akmod-nvidia with the rawhide rpmfusion repos worked fine back when I installed it, but when I reinstalled to get the official release, akmod-nvidia wouldn't work at all, and kmod-nvidia only provides 2D support on my maxwell card (but 3D was working in the alpha release).
