The worst thing you can do is patronise people. I'm not saying what
you wrote is patronising, I just think it needs to be rephrased.
A lot of people treat their computers like cars: As long as it goes
forwards, backwards and turns left and right - no-one cares how it
works. The idea of the leaflet

I see there is a thread with the subject of Leaflets. I have been away
until recently so please forgive me if I am not dovetailing into the
existing discussion well.
I am an 'Infopoint' (note 1) volunteer - FOSS information at events

PDF really isn't geared up to that kind of thing. You can make
modifications, but it is a pain and is usually pretty limited.

I'm not sure how many of you know of Tom Peters, since he's not an IT
person.
He is, however, the world's best-selling business author, and a hugely
respected "top business consultant". The kind of person who charges £800
for a one-day seminar ticket, and fills an auditorium of several hundred

Hi all,
I've managed to convince my parents that Ubuntu is for them (My mum just got a
new laptop with Vista and Office 2007 and thinks that it is completely

Linspire are windows wannabe's anyway I guess its great to be involved with
Microsoft for them! But with now three distros joining the MS Corp they
don't seem to have much faith about Linux not violating patents. These
distros are sending out the wrong message and actually believe the FUD.
