Yann,
The Oxide dev. team has been looking into this issue again. We understand
this is a real issue for users of those webapps. We would still like to do
the right thing and get to the root cause of the problem to lock that down
with a proper test.

Push notifications for webapps is not supported yet.
Only Gmail and Twitter currently have some ad-hoc support via the
account-polld service.
Generic push notifications for webapps is in development, with 2 branches
currently lined up for review and integration in Oxide:
We have a set of hooks to delete the cache and cookies when uninstalling
webapps. By definition the cache and cookies are re-provisioned by the
hosting service when re-installing and running the webapp.
As a suggestion, we could make that active for apps like Gmail or other
Google apps which may ru
requests. While
the mailing list is great for an initial discussion, in the end, the bugs
are what are used to track and schedule features and fixes.
Note that adding a new package will probably require the requester to make
a good case (in the report) for why the package should be in the image, a
the beginning of the tutorial on how to set
up Qt Creator for cross-compilation via a phone (armhf) kit.
Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the heads up Kévin and thanks everyone for the input. I've now
merged the content from the wiki with the existing article on
developer.ubuntu.com, so that the info is up-to-date and in just one place:
