I've only ever run Ubuntu MythTV packages on here, not recompiling. I
make it a point on most my machines to stick with distro packages...
which can be frustrating when the answer to big bugs is "fixed in newest
version".

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: silky
Silky starts up and the gui and menus are responsive, but the options do not
do anything. I select Servers -> Connect to Server, but no dialog box appears.
I try Preferences -> Edit Prefs and nothing happens. Except for File -> Quit,

Just attaching to this thread to I get updates. Thanks all! I

After a recent upgrade from Breezy to Dapper on my multimedia PC (hey,
if it works, don't break it, right?) I've run into some issues that look

Karmic. If I wait approx 2 secs they reconnect and I move on.
Funkiness abounds. Periodically the NIC also drops connection, possibly
with the same cause. As you can see from the input### it's happened a
few times.

Nice to know that there is a good replacement.
Is there no way that we can make recommendations during upgrades due to package
replacements? If we already do it, I haven't seen it.
Thanks!
