See attachment, for xsession_errors, and debug output, I trimmed the debug output to just the lines after I started playing a track (before selecting purchase), until I OK'd the error, and quit rhythmbox. The shutdown messages are very large, so I trimmed messages after rhythmbox started to quit.

OK, Now I'm not sure what to do with this bug... I found the solution, it's not with nvidia, the problem was caused because somehow during the upgrade from 9.04 to karmic alpha 5 the HUE setting in Totem got moved all the way to one side. This could be an issue for users upgrading from 9.04, so I

You could go to your account on the web, and remove the authorization for that computer then restart the client... although TBH I find the U1 authentication mechanism much less than transparrent... it would help to have some way to get clearer information regarding what's going on from the applet..
