On latest Intrepid (at least my 64-bit system) it is impossible to
remove any single application from "Applications" menu completely. It is
possible to uncheck entries in Alacarte, so that they are not shown in
menu, but removing an entry complet
The bug affects me too, as described (Ubuntu 9.04 64-bit on Lenovo 3000
N100), and it definitely IS a duplicate of #283128 and should in my
opinion be marked as such.

I'm happy to say that, at least for my model of laptop, the name of the
key in question changed in Intrepid, and now (in Intrepid Beta) this bug
is no longer relevant. In Hardy it still is, though, so I think this bug
is to remain open until the fix is backported to the current LTS.

My camera fails to be recognized by gstreamer using PPA driver, but
works with Skype. By the way, is there any way to reenable camera (at
least in Skype) after suspend-to-disk? Restarting microdia (rmmod and
modprobe back) doesn't help, and neither does restarting videodev.

I usually add to get spellchecking support for various languages.
Anyway, I was able to reproduce this bug with Greek. Here's what was

Thanks for pointing this simple test out, Roberto — they don't sound
simultaneously. Skype (and aplay, vlc, all stuff like that) are useless
unless I close the page with a YouTube video in Firefox (simply pausing
or stopping the video doesn't make no good). But anyway, after closing
