sg.com/libpst/, in the Jaunty cycle. Debian's version (0.5.2) has some
problems with Outlook 2003

culprit: myself. I must have tried to customise GDM, and this results in

The terminal goes crazy because, within the binary file you dumped on
it, there were sequences of bytes that reprogrammed the terminal. Maybe
you did not expect it to happen, but this does not make it an abnormal
behaviour.

You can set 'ls' to run without colouring by passing '--color=none' on
the invocation. Alternatively, you can setup an alias, like
alias ls='ls --color=none'
Also, the coreutils command 'dircolors' to change, save, or display the
colour database. You can run "info coreutils 'dircol

is not a guarantee that a newer version than the one supported by
Evolution 2.28 will work.

An updated version of libpst (libpst0.6.41) has been submitted and
accepted for Karmic. This version bumped the soname to 4, following
upstream.
Evolution is now being changed to include as build-depend libpst-dev (>=
0.6.41); the evolution-plugins binary package will depend on the binary
libpst4
I have built the required libpst 0.6.41, and rebuilt Evolution 2.28 to
enable the PST-importer plugin. You can find them at my PPA
(https://edge.launchpad.net/~hggdh2/+archive/ppa/+packages). These are
TEST packages, and feedback is appreciated.
You will need to install *at least* the libpst_0.6.4

Andreas and I had a chat on #ubuntu-bugs. Ends up I cannot reproduce,
although Andreas has the same error on two different machines (both of
us running x86_64). I suggested using '--to-command', and it worked.
Andreas will build a third box, and try again.

edge.launchpad.net, I *usually* -- about 99 out of 100 -- get a status=0
response, with empty text.
Now, if I go to launchpad.net, I *never* get it -- meaning so far, none.
This is sounding more as a launchpad issue than anythi
AMD64, ATI x1250. Blank screen on restart, no response on
Ctrl/Alt/F[0-9], no response to Ctrl/Alt/Del. Did respond to pressing
the Power button, and powered off.
Although sounds bad, this is actually an improvement over the previous
versions -- machine would not respond at all.

writable. If you chmod 757 a directory, it will be printed as blue over

Ends up this is *not* an issue on Coreutils (which I also considered,
but failed to fully test). This is the response I received:
"I don't see the problem: it's readable for me when using
roxterm as my terminal emulator.
Here's what I did:

As such, closing WONTFIX. If there is a problem, it is either local to
the colour palette in use, or on the terminal emulator in use.

I disagree. Security and convenience usually do not go together; a
default umask of 022 is a nice middle-term: by default you can see other
user's directories and files, but you cannot *change* them.
On my laptop this is a perfectly acceptable umask. On my servers I
usually force a default umask o
