It seems if you KNOW from which SW platform zip file comes from and
codepage, you can successfully unzip the archive without loosing non-
ASCII filenames not encoded in UTF-8.
I just did one experiment to unpack zip file that has been created in
Ko
The problem still persists. It occurs approx. 2 out of 10 times at the
moment.
I have nog clue as to what to do, or where to look to solve the problem.
Should I give more information? Should I attachmore or other log files?

Seems to me that "/lib/udev/cdrom_id --eject-media $device" as called by
/lib/udev/rules.d/60-cdrom_id.rules is trying too hard. It should
respect the lock flag on the device, maybe with a "--force" option to
eject regardless. Anyway this is surely a udev bug not a kernel bug.

Looking at synaptic in Mint 14, I found "cifs-utils" is already
installed and I believe it only provides another method of mounting an
