Hi Coya, because tumbler is a package that reside in Universe there will normally no bughandling from the Ubuntu core developers.
The normal strategy is to reporting upstream. I have checket the actual version number of tumbler we have in raring. In moment it is 0.1.27. Unfortunately this report is on version 0.1.26 (Sorry, for the delay, but you know more bugs arround than hands for). Befor we can do the upstream report, could you please retest if the crash is still occuring with the actual tumbler version. If so we progress and inform the original developers(normally they would ask you the same to do). For observing the crash it migh be helpfull to wipe out before the /var/crash/ directory. You can to this with the sudo rm command on terminal complete(be patient with rm) or you can call from terminal gksu nautilus then naviagate to /var/crash and delete all files in there directly. After this try to reproduce the crash and report back(you can close the new report as dublicate of this here). After this set the status of the report back to new. I know much work, but experience teaches that is needed. Thank you in advance melchiaros ** Changed in: tumbler (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1099150 Title: tumblerd crashed with SIGSEGV in gst_thumbnailer_play_start() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tumbler/+bug/1099150/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
