the database is corrupted, either from a corrupted file or from trying to mix two different versions of BDB (e.g. downloaded from two different sources, like ppa:bitcoin and the Ubuntu archive). You can't mix the ppa:bitcoin package with the package from the Ubuntu archives, they use different BDB libraries and can corrupt the blockchain. Version 0.8 gets rid of BDB (except for the wallet). Make sure you keep back ups of your wallet. They can only be opened with a version of bitcoin compiled for the version of BDB that your wallet was made with. ** Changed in: bitcoin (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/984779 Title: DbEnv::open: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery, bitcoin in AppInit() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bitcoin/+bug/984779/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
