Public bug reported:
After upgrading from Intrepid to Jaunty, my USB HID dance mat (a game
controller) no longer works. This shows up in syslog when I plug it in:

Public bug reported:
Hello,
My TOMTOM GO is not correctly detected with Ubuntu Jaunty.
It worked fine with the previous ubuntu.
You can find below the dmesg:
[ 96.616066] usb 2-3: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 3
[ 111.728127] usb 2-3: device descriptor read/64, error -
And result of lsusb command:
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 008 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 007 Device 002: ID 04a5:2060 Acer Peripherals Inc. (now BenQ Corp.) Prisa
620U+/640U
Bus 007 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1
I solved the problem by downgrading xserver-xorg-input-synaptics to the
previous version via synaptic (Package-Menu->Force version). I had to unmark
the package after the downgrade to prevent from being immediately upgraded
again.
To really lock the version of the package I used "Apt-Pinning".
i added Option "NoAccel" "true" to the Device section in xorg.conf and
use the attached script to toggle it when i need oowriter.
/etc/X11/Xorg.conf :
...
Section "Device"
...
Option "NoAccel" "true"
...
EndSection
