Same here on kernel 2.6.28-12. This is exactly what I get:

[ 1.718233] invalid compressed format (err=2) [ 1.721449] Kernel Panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0) But it works if I boot with 2.6.28-11. Is there a solution for this problem?
