I just compiled a 2.6.19.7 kernel and the snd-powermac driver works
perfectly. Looks like a possible bug with the x.20 kernel and alsa.
I did not include the PowerMac dma sound support, as advised on the
Gentoo PPC FAQs. All other components are as modules, as set by a

Not a dupe based on the other comment. The suggestion still stands:
I haven't tried amavisd-new on Feisty, but a number of packages are not
coping well with /var/run now being a tempfs. Try creating the directory
for the pid file manually and then run apt-get upgrade and see it the
package config

slots, and this really cannot be prevented deterministically on boot.
The best that can be done is to work around it.

Perhaps we could solve this with some magic and the auto removal
function.
The packages installed by selecting a task could be marked as
automatically installed. If the task gets deselected all packages that
are not part of any other active task or have been manually installed
should be removed.
Jo, I´m confirming this bug too, it is rellay annoying cause it worked very
good in dapper.
I deactivated DHT at the moment. But I hope it will be fixed soon in Feisty.

I have reinstalled my system and would try this workaround, but for
other reason I could boot Feisty on my computer with
