Thanks for your great work on Ubiquity. There is one improvement that I
would like to see.
This past week I installed Ubuntu on a second hard drive in a PC. It is
a 250 GB drive, and I wanted to give 30 GB to Ubuntu. I got to the
"Resize Partion" and dragged the slider so that it said "
To re-add the application menu in your taskbar, please right click the
panel and click "add new item" then select "Xfce menu" (near the bottom
of the list). If you would like to have the same default icon as before,
right click the menu, then properties and paste the following into the
button icon
After upgrading to Edgy, it appears that this is no longer a problem.

I re-installed gsfonts, gsfonts-x11 and gsfonts-other. This had no
effect. I restarted the font-server which seemed to have no effect. I
restarted X (ctrl-alt-bs) and xfig seemed fine.

the display brightness kills GDM. GDM does automatically restart. This
is a ThinkPad Z61t.

After downgrade to python2.4-minimal 2.4.4-1ubuntu1 found on lanuchpad
(https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/feisty/i386/python2.4-minimal/2.4.4-1ubuntu1) it
does what I it should.
After going back to 2.4.4-1ubuntu2 python imports
/usr/lib/python2.4/lib-dynload/select.so instead of ./select.py again.

linux-image-2.6.20-4-generic fixes the lockup. Thanks! That kernel's
postinst script is buggy though, but that's a different issue...
