After boot on this machine there is no visible mouse pointer.
Using the invisible mouse pointer I am able to open a terminal.
When typing in terminal moouse pointer change to text select shape and then
mouse pointer is working.

In fact correction:
I try to removed i915.modset=0 in grub and now everything work!
Machine was definitely not booting to graphics without it when I first
installed Lucid.
So configuration that work is:
prod...@produit-laptop:~$ uname -a
Linux produit-laptop 2.6.32-11-generic #15-Ubuntu SMP Tue J

i915.modeset=0
instead of
i915.modset=0
?
In any respect, I don't think the reported bug is one which we will be
able to fix, since the i915.modeset=0 option will stop working once the
driver is updated to 2.10.0. The other bug, i.e. that the computer
doesn't boot at all w

i915.modset=0
the machine does not boot to graphic screen (since Karmic)
I think the message Unknown parameter `modset' when using
i915.modset=0 in grub
is a known and documented problem of grub that first parse it wrong
but then pass it correctly.

From your Dmesg.txt (output of dmesg):
[2.529193] i915: Unknown parameter `modset'
The right spelling is i915.modeset=0, and I think that currently it is
recommended to use nomodeset instead. Does this do the same?
